Sweden-Brazil Startup Matchday 2022

AI can play a key role in creating smarter and more sustainable societies. In this third Sweden Brazil Startup Matchday Swedish startups will have the chance to meet world leading Brazilian corporates to tackle two key themes, AI for Smart Cities and AI for Health. 

These Brazilian corporates have confirmed their participation in the matchday:

Ache: One of the 5 largest pharmaceutical companies in Brazil
Albert Einstein Israelite Hospital: Medical services
BRF: One of the world’s largest food companies
Sabesp: Largest water and sanitation company in Latin America
Suzano: Pulp and paper company with presence in over 80 countries
Vale: One of the largest mining companies in the world
WEG: Electric engineering, power and automation technology solutions

This time there are a range of challenges relating to Smart Cities that corporates are aiming to solve including:

• The city as a platform for data driven innovation
• Digital twins for cities
• AI for city management
• Measuring/improving water & air quality
• Water and sewage management 
• Transport and logistics – mobility of both people and goods
• Ways to empower and engage citizens 
• Sustainability
• Supply chain simulation and optimization
• Mapping and analysis of land and forest

As well as startups solutions within health including:

• Sensors (as well as data and analysis) for both rehab and preventative healthcare.
• New technology and ways of working
• Ways to increase control over an individual’s own healthcare 
• Methods for technological development, user involvement and implementation together with companies (within Digital Health)

This event is organised as part of the Sweden Brazil Innovation Initiative, together with Vinnova – Sweden’s Innovation Agency, RISE, Business Sweden, CISB and the Swedish Embassy in Brazil.
