Global Collaboration the Focus for Sweden Innovation Days

Sweden Innovation Days brings together AI experts, innovation hubs, academia, the public sector, startups and corporates from around the world for a global conference and our biggest matchday event ever!

Organized by Ignite Sweden, AI Sweden – Sweden’s national AI center, the Swedish Energy Agency, SISP – Swedish Incubators & Science Parks, and Vinnova – Sweden’s innovation authority, the event will focus on AI, innovation and collaboration.

The three day, fully digital event, begins on November 17 and showcases Sweden as a global leader in innovative technology. It aims to create new international collaborations and attract new international talent and investments.

Sweden Innovation Days features inspiring keynotes, lively panel discussions, workshops and case studies from decision-makers at government level, experts from multinational companies as well as startups, world-leading researchers from universities and think tanks, and specialists working within the public sector.

Over 20 Innovation hubs from Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, India, Israel, Japan, South Korea, the USA and Sweden will also bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the 20+ sessions happening across the three days. 

What’s Happening During the Days? 

Over 3,500 participants from 78 different countries are expected to attend and each day will focus on varying aspects of AI, innovation and collaboration. 

The AI Talks on November 17 discuss how applied AI can help solve the great challenges of our time, such as climate change, democracy, health and mobility. More than 40 Swedish and international speakers including Minister of Trade and Industry Ibrahim Baylan, and speakers from H&M Group, Ericsson, AstraZeneca, Sony, ABB, WASP – Wallenberg AI, Autonomous Systems and Software Program, and Volvo Group will participate in the program.

During The Ignite Conference on November 18, Darja Isaksson (Director General, Vinnova) and Robert Andrén (Director General, Swedish Energy Agency) will talk about Swedish innovative power and how startups are a key to expanding innovations in a global and highly competitive market. Representatives from large companies, municipalities and startups share concrete lessons from their collaborations. In addition, AI startups from each participating country will pitch their business ideas on stage.

The Ignite Matchday on November 19 will bring together 134 selected AI startups and 66 private and public actors in 435 meetings over just 16 hours.

Throughout the event there will also be a range of breakout sessions providing real-world tips and advice for startups, corporates, innovation hubs and the public sector.
